Pet Rehoming Resources

Do you need help finding a home for your pet?

Find your pet a loving/forever home the safe, no-cost way to rehome your pet. We believe that re-homing pets should be easy and stress free both for you and your pet.

Below are two websites to help you place your pet from your loving home directly to another!

Be very careful when handing your pet over to a stranger you have met online or through acquaintances.  Make sure that you check references to ensure the person is responsible and ask that they reach back out to you in the event that they can no longer care for your pet.  In fact, it is best to document those stipulations in a contract to show your seriousness.

Get Your Pet

Owner-to-Owner Adoptions on GetYourPet.com (click picture)

For Current owner (Guardian), rehoming your pet on Get Your Pet is free.

The Adopter pays an adoption fee to  Get Your Pet ($199 for a dog, $49 for a cat) online only after they take possession of the pet from the Current owner (Guardian).

Adopt-a-Pet

Find Your Pet A Home on Adopt-a-Pet (click picture below)
They have created a simple, reliable program to help you place your pet from your loving home directly to another.

You get 100% of the adoption fee you set.   They charge a one-time listing fee of 10% of the adoption fee you set, plus applicable sales tax.

The Rehome referral "Coupon code" will reduce the listing fee by 90%. *NOTE: the Coupon code will be invalid if the pet owner sets an adoption fee of $500 or higher, even if referred by a shelter or rescue organization.

For example, if a pet owner adds a cat for adoption for $50 - normally a $5.00 listing fee - then clicks "Code" and inputs the Rescue referral code, the listing fee will be discounted to $0.50 plus applicable state sales tax.

Sales Tax: Rehome will add applicable U.S. state sales tax to the final listing fee, based on the owner's zip code. The tax and listing fee and sales tax are paid by the pet owner to list their pet.

To get the 90% discount on listing fee, use the following Coupon code:  RCXHAQTL2U8AD8Z

Anti-Cruelty Society Home-to-Home Program

The Anti-Cruelty Society developed the Home-to-Home adoption service to assist people who are looking to keep their pets out of the shelter system by re-homing them privately. Through this free service, The Anti-Cruelty Society creates a courtesy listing for these adoptable animals to include on our website and social media profiles.
