Are you interested in adopting?

Please complete an adoption application and read through our Adoption Process and Policies.
If you would like to find out more about one of our available pets, please email us at [email protected].
If you can't adopt, please donate.  Thank you for helping to save a life!

Note: reference checks (if applicable) and phone/video interviews will be done before the application is approved for you to meet the pet. Our pets are adopted to the best home for them, NOT on a first come first serve basis.

Most kittens are required to be adopted in pairs. There can be single adoptions if another cat/kitten already lives in the home.

Meeting our cats

We have cats at local pet stores and in foster homes.  You can look at the cats at the pet stores,
but CPR limits meeting the cats at the pet stores as well as the cats in foster care until after your application is approved.

Notes on Adopting Cats:

Kittens under 12 weeks old:  We do our best to determine the gender of all available kittens, but it's sometimes difficult to know for sure until they see a vet when they're between 8 and 12 weeks old. Kitten listings are subject to change.

CPR's Position on Declawing:  CPR is opposed to declawing cats for the convenience of their guardians.  Declawing is NOT allowed.

Cats with an Ear Tip: An adoptable cat may be missing a small piece of their ear, known as Ear Tipping.  This is done as part of the feral package (spay/neuter and rabies vaccine). This is an universally recognized, safe and humane procedure that is done while the cat is under anesthesia for spay/neuter surgery.  An ear tip is a visual indicator that a cat has previously been altered and vaccinated, which can be seen from a distance, and prevents re-trapping.
When they are first trapped we don't know if they will be friendly or feral. Once they have been fixed, we evaluate and, if they are friendly, they are made available for adoption.

Chicago Baseball Kittens
Comiskey & Wrigley (living together)

Two adorable brown and white tabby kittens, representing the baseball season in Chicago.

Comiskey & Wrigley are bonded and must be adopted together.

They are about 4 months old as of August.   They are up-to-date on shots, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped.

They are looking for a forever home that is willing to foster to adopt until they are old enough to be fixed. Foster to adopt means, they will be living with you and you will be responsible for them (including financially) but the adoption will not be finalized until they are fixed. That usually happens around 6+ months depending on what the vet says.

Comiskey
Comiskey (Male)

Comiskey is a playful, adventurous boy who throws himself into life with all the enthusiasm you'd expect from a kitten with such a spirited name.

He loves setting off on explorations, batting at toys, and generally investigating anything and everything that catches his curious eye. When he's finally worn himself out from all that adventure, he's more than happy to settle in for some well-earned cuddles.

Comiskey brings boundless energy and joy wherever he goes — and if you're looking for a kitten who will keep you entertained and then melt into your lap at the end of the day, he just might be your perfect match.
Picture
Wrigley (Female)

Wrigley is the only girl in this group.  She is a kitten with an adorable face and a playful spirit who loves nothing more than exploring every corner of her world, cuddling up with her favorite people, and keeping life delightfully unpredictable for her brother. Mischief comes naturally to her, and she wears it well — whether she's darting through the house at full speed, or plotting her next ambush from a carefully chosen hiding spot.

Ready for fun at a moment's notice, she has turned the sneak attack into something of an art form, launching herself at her unsuspecting sibling before disappearing in a blur of tiny paws. But for every wild moment, there's a quiet one too — Wrigley is just as happy curled up close, purring away like the sweetest little creature imaginable. Sweet, curious, endlessly entertaining, and completely full of kitten charm, she makes every day a little more lively just by being in it.
These kittens are currently being cared for by our rescue, but would like you to make one or more of them a part of your family today! The adoption fee of $125 EACH will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

Flower  Kittens
Lavender, Marigold & Tulip

Three sweet, cute kittens, named after flowers.

Marigold and Tulip are bonded and must be adopted together.
Lavender can be adopted together with the other two,  with another CPR cat/kitten  or separately if there is a cat/kitten already in the home.

They are about 2 weeks old as of August   They are up-to-date on shots, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped.

They are looking for a forever home that is willing to foster to adopt until they are old enough to be fixed. Foster to adopt means, they will be living with you and you will be responsible for them (including financially) but the adoption will not be finalized until they are fixed. That usually happens around 6+ months depending on what the vet says.

Lavender
Lavender  (Female)
Meet Lavender, a delightful longhaired black and white kitten with the perfect blend of independence and affection.  This sweet girl is a people-lover who isn't shy about letting you know she wants your attention—she'll climb all over you, purr up a storm, and make absolutely sure you know she's chosen you as her favorite person.
Despite her friendly, attention-seeking nature, Lavender has a refreshingly independent streak that sets her apart from her siblings. She's confident enough to strike out on her own, exploring and investigating everything around her with curiosity and wonder.  But here's the magic of Lavender: she perfectly balances that independence with genuine affection. She's got that classic kitten charm in spades—playful, exuberant, and ready to pounce on anything that moves. Yet when she's had her fill of adventure, she's equally happy to rub against you, curl up in your lap for cozy cuddles, and head-butt you for pets. Lavender is the kind of kitten who will keep you entertained with her antics while also being a loving, responsive companion. She's ready to bring joy, playfulness, and sweet affection to her forever home.
Picture
Marigold
Marigold (Female)

Meet Marigold, a lovely black and white shorthaired female tabby with a tender heart and a gentle soul.   Marigold is bonded with her brother Tulip, and these two siblings truly need to stay together—they rely on each other for comfort, confidence, and security. Both Marigold and Tulip are on the timid side and may take a little time to adjust to new environments and new people.

She's a cautious girl who needs patience and understanding as she learns to trust. But here's the wonderful thing about Marigold: she does warm up, and when she does, you'll discover an affectionate and playful companion beneath that shy exterior. Once comfortable, Marigold absolutely loves chasing toys and pouncing on anything that moves, revealing her kitten playfulness and spirited nature.

There's real magic in watching a timid kitten gain confidence through play and realize that her world is safe and full of fun. Marigold deserves a patient, compassionate home where she can feel secure alongside her brother. For someone willing to adopt both Marigold and Tulip together, you'll experience the rewarding journey of helping these bonded siblings blossom into confident, loving cats who bring joy and purrs to your home.
Picture
Tulip
Tulip (Male)

Meet Tulip, a handsome black and white shorthaired tabby boy with a sweet, gentle nature and a loving heart just waiting to blossom.   Tulip is bonded with his sister Marigold, and keeping these two siblings together is so important—they rely on each other for comfort and security. Like his sister, Tulip is a bit timid and takes time to adjust to new people and new situations. He may be cautious at first, but with patience and kindness, this shy boy will warm up and reveal the affectionate companion he truly is.

Once Tulip feels safe and secure, his playful side emerges—he loves chasing toys and pouncing on moving objects, showing off his kitten energy and curiosity. There's something truly special about watching a timid cat gain confidence through play and realize the world can be fun and safe.

Tulip needs a patient, understanding adopter who will give him the time and space he requires to come out of his shell. For someone willing to adopt both Tulip and Marigold together, you'll be rewarded with the unique joy of watching these bonded siblings thrive together in a loving home. They're stronger together, and they're ready to fill your heart with purrs and playfulness.
These kittens are currently being cared for by our rescue, but would like you to make one or more of them a part of your family today! The adoption fee of $125 EACH will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

i-e  Kittens
Bennie & Gigie (living together, bonded)
Frankie & Vinnie (living together, bonded)

Four adorable kittens, whose names end in "I-e".

Bennie & Gigie

Two adorable female kittens, Bennie and Gigie are bonded and must be adopted together..
They are professional snugglers. Bennie will even start purring while Gigie is being held or petted.
Unlike most cats, they are not afraid to step into water.

They are about 3 months old as of August.   They are up-to-date on shots, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped.

They are looking for a forever home that is willing to foster to adopt until they are old enough to be fixed. That usually happens around 6+ months depending on what the vet says.

Bennie
Bennie (Female)

Bennie is a pretty little calico kitten with a personality that shines just as brightly as her patchwork coat. At just two months old, this sweet girl is already showing all the signs of being a confident, curious explorer.

Bennie is the bold and brave one of her duo, and she's not shy about taking the lead—whether that's investigating new toys, pouncing on playthings, or charming everyone she meets. While she's definitely playful with kitten energy to spare, Bennie has a refreshingly chill side to her, balancing her adventurous spirit with a laid-back approach that makes her delightful to be around. She loves being petted and soaking up affection, and will occasionally grace you with lap time, especially when she's decided you're worthy of being her personal throne.

This little lady clearly thrives on being the center of attention, and she has the confidence to command it naturally. Bennie is the perfect choice for someone looking for a playful, engaging kitten with a sweet, easy-going temperament.
Picture
Gigie
Gigie (Female)

Gigie is a pretty little tortoiseshell kitten with the energy and playfulness of a kitten twice her size! At just 2 months old as of July, this spunky girl is all about action and adventure. She absolutely loves wand toys, balls, and anything that moves—if it can be pounced on, chased, or batted around, Gigie is your girl.

She's the most energetic of her dynamic duo with Bennie, and her kitten zoomies are legendary. However, Gigie is still finding her way when it comes to trusting people. She's cautious around humans, but she's slowly learning that people can be protective and loving. This girl needs patience, gentle handling, and time to realize that the world—and the people in it—can be kind. While she may keep her distance at first, her playful nature shows that underneath that wariness is a sweet, curious kitten just waiting to blossom.

For a patient, understanding adopter willing to let Gigie come out of her shell at her own pace, this brave little girl will reward you with years of playful companionship and eventually, the trust and love she's still learning to give.
These kittens are currently being cared for by our rescue, but would like you to make one or more of them a part of your family today! The adoption fee of $125 EACH will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

Vinnie
Frankie  (Male)
With his stunning crystal-blue eyes and striking white coat, Frankie is sure to turn heads-but it's his bold, playful personality that will truly capture your heart.

Playtime is Frankie's favorite pastime! Wave a wand toy, toss a ball, or even crinkle a piece of paper, and he's ready for fun. Curious, fearless, and full of confidence, Frankie explores every new room as if he owns it. He isn't intimidated by bigger cats and loves investigating everything around him, making every day an adventure.

While Frankie isn't a full-time lap cat, he loves being with his people. Give him plenty of head scratches, chin rubs, and his all-time favorite-belly rubs-and he'll reward you with loud, happy purrs. He'll happily follow you from room to room, keeping you company and making sure you're never alone.

Frankie would thrive in a home that appreciates his playful spirit, outgoing personality, and affectionate nature. If you're looking for a handsome, confident companion who will bring fun, laughter, and love into your life, Frankie is ready to make himself right at home.
Vinnie (Male)
Vinnie is a handsome orange boy with a gentle heart and a playful spirit just waiting to shine. While he may be a little shy when faced with new places or unfamiliar animals, all he needs is a patient person willing to let him settle in at his own pace. Once you've earned his trust, Vinnie will happily follow your lead and show you just how special he is.

His favorite place to be is right next to his human. He's not demanding-he simply loves your company. Whether you're reading, watching TV, or working from home, Vinnie is content to curl up beside you, purring away as if to say, "I'm happy you're here."

Playtime is another one of Vinnie's favorite things, and it doesn't take much to bring out his fun-loving side. As his confidence grows, so does his quirky orange-cat personality. Before long, you'll discover the silly antics, playful bursts of energy, and sweet affection that make orange cats so easy to love.

Vinnie is looking for someone who understands that the best friendships take a little time to grow. Give him patience, kindness, and a little encouragement, and you'll be rewarded with a loyal companion who will stay by your side through it all.

Ironman and Spiderman - Superheroes!

These two superheroes are bonded, do all their missions as a team,  and must be adopted together.
They are about 4 years old, fixed, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped.
Picture
Ironman
Ironman may not wear a metal suit, but this handsome brown tabby definitely has superhero style—and a heart that runs on love. While he sometimes plays it cool at first (he is named after Tony Stark, after all), it doesn’t take long for him to power up his purrs and come looking for affection.

His favorite hideout is under the dresser, where he can nap in peace, but as soon as his foster parent enters the room—especially in the morning—Ironman is right there, ready to connect.

He’s loyal, calm, and always keeping an eye on his brother, drawing courage and inspiration from Spiderman’s adventurous nature.

Picture
Spiderman
Spiderman is sleek, black, and ready for action—complete with a classy tuxedo look and bold white paws that look like they’re built for slinging webs and scaling rooftops. This confident cat loves to explore, perch up high, and observe the world from above. Always curious and full of quiet energy, Spiderman takes the lead on every adventure, and his brother Ironman follows closely behind, relying on Spiderman’s bravery to guide them.

Despite his name, Spiderman isn’t shy when it comes to affection. He enjoys attention and being near his humans—especially when it’s time to relax and recharge from his heroic missions. Together with Ironman, they make an incredible team.

They are being cared for by our foster-based rescue, and are ready to find their forever home today! The adoption fee of $100 EACH will benefit other animals in our care.
