Available Cats

Are you interested in adopting?

If you would like to find out more about one of our available pets, please email us at followup@chicagopetrescue.org or fill out an adoption application.

For most KITTENS under 4 months we require they be adopted in pairs or separately (if another cat or kitten already lives in the home).

If you can't adopt, please donate.  Thank you for helping to save a life!

NOTE: Regarding kittens under 12 weeks old...

We do our best to determine the gender of all available kittens, but it's sometimes difficult to know for sure until they see a vet when they're between 8 and 12 weeks old. Kitten listings are subject to change.

CPR’s Position on Declawing

CPR is strongly opposed to declawing cats for the convenience of their guardians.

The only circumstance in which the procedure could be condoned would be if the health and safety of the guardian would be put at risk, as in the case of individuals with compromised immune systems or illnesses that cause them to be unusually susceptible to serious infections. Medical proof will be required.

Bissell (Male)

ADOPTION PENDING

Meet Bissell! He is about 4 months old, up-to-date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped.

His foster mom says: Bissell does not run up to us as soon as we come into the room but, when everyone is sitting down, he will come and sit next to you. He is really coming out of his shell more and more. He loves little balls and will bat them around for ever. He always gets them trapped in one corner so when we see him sitting by that area we know it is because all of his toys are trapped.

He is currently living in foster care but would like you to make him a part of your family today! He can be adopted together with another cat/kitten or separate if another cat/kitten already in the home. His adoption fee of $125 will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

Covu (Male)

ON HOLD

Covu is a funny guy who likes to do his own thing but definitely likes hanging out with people and other cats too! He will give other cats kisses and would do best in a home that has another friendly cat for him to befriend. He likes to flop and roll on the ground and get some scritches! He's a friendly cat with lots of love to give! Take him home with you today!

He is currently living in foster home but would like you to make him a part of your family today! His adoption fee of $125 will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

Jan (Female) & Uary (Male)

ADOPTIONS PENDING

Meet Jan and Uary! They is about 3 months old, up-to-date on shots, fixed, dewormed, FIV negative, and microchipped.

Jan: is sweet but shy, she likes a good cuddle but you have to convince her to get a hug first! She likes to be pet and she likes to hang out to see what you're up to. Take her home to cuddle and play with her!

Uary: is a chill guy who likes to be pet and cuddled. He can be a little reserved at first but it doesn't take him long to warm up. He needs a nice place to call home so he can get comfortable and show his loving personality.

They are currently living at Norridge Petco but would like you to make one or both of them a part of your family today! They can be adopted together with another cat/kitten, or separate if another cat/kitten in the home already. The adoption fee of $125 EACH will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

Makita & Ryobi (Female & Male)

Meet Makita & Ryobi! They are about 9 months old, up-to-date on shots, fixed, dewormed, FIV negative, and microchipped.

Makita (female, gray and white tabby): She is very curious, playful, and brave! Her favorite things to do are lie with her brother, Ryobi, play with the laser light, and play with strings that hang from your pajama pants!

She is a little cautious when she first meets you, checking you out to make sure you're friendly too, but she warms up very quickly and instantly wants to play and be friends!

Ryobi (male, black & white, white nose) is very majestic as he regally watches over his surroundings, making sure everything is in order. Once he decides that his home is in tip-top shape, it's time to play! Though, true to his noble nature, he'll only play on his own terms and prefers to lead the playtime. His favorite toy is the laser light- he's so determined to catch it and keep it!

Ryobi needs to acclimate to his surroundings before he'll really show you his true friendly and playful nature but, once he gets to know you, he's a really loyal and devoted friend.

Makita and Ryobi are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

They are currently living together at Skokie Petsmart but would like you to make them a part of your family today! Their adoption fee of $125 EACH will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

Raja (Female)

Meet Raja! She is about 2 months old, up-to-date on shots, fixed, dewormed, and microchipped.

Raja is such a cutie-pie with her giant eyes! Since she was recently found outside as a stray, she's still not too sure what the deal with humans is, so she will need time and patience to learn. She just needs a place to chill and figure things out. She needs another friendly cat or kitten to help her to feel comfortable. Take her home to love her and teach her how to trust!

She is currently living in foster care but would like you to make her a part of your family today! She can be adopted together with another cat/kitten or separate if another cat/kitten already in the home. Her adoption fee of $125 will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

Roxie (Female)

Meet Roxie! She is about 2 months old, up-to-date on shots, fixed, dewormed, FIV negative, and microchipped.

I am very sweet and purr easily, but I'm still very shy. I am making progress coming out of my shell. I am just starting to cuddle and like my belly rubbed while watching movies with my foster mom... I like my dangly toys and the laser pointer. And I get along with other cats.

She is currently living in foster care but would like you to make her a part of your family today! She can be adopted together with another cat/kitten, or separate if another cat/kitten already in the home. Her adoption fee of $125 will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

Sorry, we currently do not have any other cats available.  Check back soon!

* Adoption Pending status does not mean the animal is adopted, just means we are not currently taking any new applications for the animal and we are in the process of reviewing current applications.  If the current applicants don't work out then the adoption pending status will be removed and other applications will be taken into considerations.  Thank you for your understanding.
