Notes on Adopting Cats:
Kittens under 12 weeks old: We do our best to determine the gender of all available kittens, but it's sometimes difficult to know for sure until they see a vet when they're between 8 and 12 weeks old. Kitten listings are subject to change.
CPR's Position on Declawing: CPR is strongly opposed to declawing cats for the convenience of their guardians. The only circumstance in which the procedure could be condoned would be if the health and safety of the guardian would be put at risk, as in the case of individuals with compromised immune systems or illnesses that cause them to be unusually susceptible to serious infections. Medical proof will be required.
Cats with an Ear Tip: An adoptable cat may be missing a small piece of their ear, known as Ear Tipping. This is done as part of the feral package (spay/neuter and rabies vaccine). This is an universally recognized, safe and humane procedure that is done while the cat is under anesthesia for spay/neuter surgery. An ear tip is a visual indicator that a cat has previously been altered and vaccinated, which can be seen from a distance, and prevents re-trapping. When they are first trapped we don't know if they will be friendly or feral. Once they have been fixed, we evaluate and, if they are friendly, they are made available for adoption.

Asteroids & Sonic
Meet Asteroids & Sonic!
Asteroids & Sonic are double without the trouble! Both are domestic short hair cats around 2 years old. Being bonded brothers, they need to be adopted together, and are purrfect for a loving home looking to adopt two cats who already know and love each other. Asteroids is a handsome orange & white cat. The more reserved of the two brothers, he is a bit hesitant with people at first (aren’t we all!) but he quickly warms up and will let you pick him up and pet him. It’ll be rewarding once you finally win him over, as he will even settle down for a night of cuddles. Sonic is a good-looking buff-orange tabby cat. The more outgoing of the two brothers, he is very friendly and enjoys frequent pets. Expect a warm welcome home from this one after a long day at work. But be aware, his greeting may just be a rouse to get you to pick him up for snuggles. Their favorite pastimes include playing with each other, exploring, and ruling over their kitty condo & tower. Both boys are also big connoisseurs of the kitty squeeze treats. Both are fixed, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped. They are currently being cared for by our rescue, but would like you to make them a part of your family today! The adoption fee of $250 ($125 EACH) will also benefit other CPR rescue animals. Current Location: Foster Home |

Madison & Milwaukee (bonded females)
Meet Madison & Milwaukee!
Madison & Milwaukee will double your pleasure, double your fun. They are sweet bonded sisters that need to be adopted together. Madison is a cute shorthaired black & white tuxedo kitten, and Milwaukee is a beautiful black longhaired kitten. Madison is a bit cautious about new things, but then her curiosity takes over and she plunges right in to investigate. She is focused and driven when she plays-the feather wands need to take a nap after playing with her! She and sister Milwaukee play, eat and sleep together....most of the time, you know sisters. She has some wicked wrestling moves but always ends a match with sisterly kisses or a grooming session. Milwaukee definitely likes to observe the situation before jumping into anything. She waits until sister Madison does something and then she will follow. She plays with determination. We are working on playing catch and fetch. She will snuggle and is an avid purr machine. She loves to eat. They both are sweetheart that play hard then relax and purr away. They are looking for a forever home that is willing to foster to adopt until they are old enough to be fixed. Foster to adopt means, they will be living with you and you will be responsible for them (including financially) but the adoption will not be finalized until they are fixed. That usually happens around 5 months depending on what the vet says. Both are up-to-date on shots, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped. They are currently being cared for by our rescue, but would like you to make them a part of your family today! The adoption fee of $250.00 ($125 EACH) will benefit other CPR rescue animals. Current location: Petco, Norridge Commons on Harlem Ave, Chicago |

Mick & Jimi
Mick and Jimi are sweet grey tabby boys who have spent their lives together. Mick has white on paws, chest and his face right around his cute bright pink nose. His brother Jimi has a little bit of white on his face too and a darker pink nose. These brothers are bonded and must be adopted together. The boys just celebrated their first birthday with lots of toys and treats. The one gift they would really like is a forever home. Jimi and Mick are both social butterflies. They both like to greet new people and get pets from them. They both love playing with the wand toys and batting at crinkle balls. Speaking of butterflies, they also really love to sit and look out the window. If they something interesting, they will want to take a closer look. So, make sure your screens are secure. Both Jimi and Mick can easily be redirected with a toy or crinkle ball. They enjoy each other’s company as well as the company of their humans. We have been told they even like spending time with kids. However, they don’t like dogs. When they are not playing with toys or each other they like to nap and relax on their human’s laps for kisses and cuddles. Mick especially likes laps. They are also big into snuggles. Mick and Jimi are fixed, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative and microchipped. They are currently being cared for by our rescue but would like you to make them a part of your family today! Their adoption fee of $250.00 ($125.00 Each) will also help benefit other CPR rescue animals. Current Location: Petsmart, Village Crossing on Touhy Ave, Skokie |

Named after a fugitive android that joined the Ninja Turtles later in their story. Like his TMNT counterpart, he is reserved, but very intelligent. He’s shy at first when meeting new people. Give him time to warm up, and he will gladly show you his sweet side. He doesn’t always mind being held but prefers short cuddle sessions. He rather enjoys his time relaxing and taking it easy. Still, he appreciates all the pets you can give him! He’s ok with dogs but can easily be frightened of them if they are too energetic. If you’re looking for someone to cuddle up & relax at home with, he’s the one. |

If you’re looking for a great companion to be by your side, Michelangelo is it. |
