NOTE: Regarding kittens
under 12 weeks old...

We do our best to determine the gender of all available kittens, but it's sometimes difficult to know for sure until they see a vet when they're between 8 and 12 weeks old. Kitten listings are subject to change.

CPR’s Position on Declawing

CPR is strongly opposed to declawing cats for the convenience of their guardians.

The only circumstance in which the procedure could be condoned would be if the health and safety of the guardian would be put at risk, as in the case of individuals with compromised immune systems or illnesses that cause them to be unusually susceptible to serious infections.

Medical proof will be required.

Cupid (Female)

Cupid is a gorgeous long-haired tortoiseshell, about 1 year old.  She is mostly brown with matching brown eyes and an amazing tail.  She is sweet and fun and loves to be with her people.  She is very playful and really needs regular playtime to be at her best.  She will happily chase a laser light around or pounce on a feather wand – you will be surprised at her agility!  When she is not hunting a toy, she is very laid-back and mellow.  She is relaxed around barking dogs, thunderstorms, and running children.  You may find her lying on her back in the middle of the floor, waiting for a belly rub.  Or she may be on top of the refrigerator looking down on the world.  One of her favorite things is to lie on the sill next to an open window, feeling the breeze and the sun and mentally chasing after the birds.  She also loves to have her beautiful coat brushed.  A good brushing once a week is all it takes to maintain her silky fur.

Cupid likes other cats and has gotten along fine with the two calm dogs in her foster home.  She has also been around small children, and has allowed them to pet her.

Cupid is truly a unique and lovely cat.  Like her namesake, give her a chance and she will steal your heart!

Cupid is, currently, living in foster care.
