January 2012 - Richard P.
Richard does whatever it takes to give back to those homeless animals that so desperately need our help. It doesn't matter if he is participating at our events, donating or just supporting Chicago Pet Rescue in anyway necessary. He became familiar with our organization when he fell in love with one of our dogs. He soon adopted this beautiful dog knowing he would be a handful. He has helped at our events by attending our fund raisers like our Garage Sales, Anniversary Party, our bowling event and he even played Santa not just once but three times.
A hero is one who just does things because they are the right things to do. There is no second thoughts, it is automatic and without complaint.
This volunteer is not only a hero to Chicago Pet Rescue but also is a hero in the eyes of his beloved Ziggy. Congratulations to Richard on being Volunteer of The Month. Thank you for caring and unselfishly giving of your time.
